Maria Shriver has instructed her powerhouse attorney, Laura Wasser, that she wants her divorce from the former Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, finalized as quickly as possible, so she can get back to work, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
Shriver filed for divorce in early July, and under California law, a divorce can be final from six months from the date of filing.
Shriver is very eager to get back to work, a source close to the family tells us, but feels that the ongoing drama of her divorce could be a distraction for her new employer.
"Maria wants the divorce to be final so she can get back to work, and move on with her life. All of the major networks have approached her, but she hasn't made any decision yet. Maria doesn't want any new job to impede on time she spends with Christopher, and Patrick, who live with her. Patrick, 17, is going to be a senior in high school and she will be visiting colleges with him. Christopher is only thirteen, and the two have a very close relationship," the insider reveals.

Maria and Christopher ventured out on Wednesday night to have dinner at Spago in Beverly Hills with Oprah Winfrey. Sources tell us, "Oprah wants Maria for OWN, make no mistake.
However, this wasn't discussed at dinner. Oprah is in town, and wanted to catch up with Maria and Chris. Work absolutely wasn't discussed."
