Just two days after being released  from the hospital following a bad surfing accident, Christopher Schwarzenegger, 13, and his mother Maria Shriver hit up The Grove, a posh outdoor shopping center in Los Angeles, and the teen looked like he’s on the road to recovery.

The two were not just getting some retail therapy in, they visited Christopher’s older brother Patrick, 17,  who snagged a summer internship in the management offices at The Grove. They also ran into Extra host Mario Lopez, who often tapes his show at the upscale outdoor mall.

Christopher spent about a week in the hospital following a boogie boarding accident in Malibu where he broke his ribs, and had a collapsed lung. He was still wearing his hospital bracelets after being released.

The family has been rocked by scandals over the last few months as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria split after he revealed that he had a love-child with the family maid Mildred Baena.

Christopher and Mildred Baena's son are just a week apart in age.
