Linda Hogan spills the dirt with ease on her ex-husband, Hulk Hogan, in her new book, Wrestling the Hulk: My Life Against the Ropes. But there’s one sensitive subject that appears to be off-limits — the father of her 22-year-old boy toy fiance’, Charlie Hill.
Star magazine can exclusively report via RadarOnline that Linda’s prospective father-in-law, Richard Hill — at 52, just one year older than Linda — was arrested on March 23, according to Clearwater (Florida) Police Department and Pinellas County Circuit Court documents, on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance, the narcotic pain reliever propoxyphene, under the brand name Darvocet.
Hill had been pulled over at 11:45 p.m. during a traffic stop for not wearing his seat belt, according to the Clearwater Police arrest report, when the officer noticed a bottle of prescription pills in the driver’s side door pocket. Hill allegedly told the officer the prescription was his, but the name on the bottle was that of Hill’s 89-year-old mother. Hill then allegedly told the officer that his mother had given him the drugs — which turned out to be 35 100-milligram Darvocet pills — to help with his back pain. The officer noted in the report that he was later unable to make contact with Hill’s mother at her home address.
He was arrested and transported to the local jail, and later posted $2000 bond and was released. According to court documents, he was not able to afford an attorney when he appeared before a judge and was eventually appointed a public defender due to “insolvency” -- the inability to pay one’s debts.
Hill has pled not guilty to the charges; a pre-trial hearing is scheduled for July 26.
Linda and Charlie — who was a high school friend of her and Hulk’s children, Brooke, 23, and Nick, 21 — began dating in 2008 and became engaged last August.
