Maria Shriver has made it official, filing divorce papers In Los Angeles to sever ties with her cheating husband Arnold Schwarzenegger.

In the wake of the bombshell revelation that Arnold fathered a love child with their maid, Maria has decided there is no salvaging her 25-year marriage and Los Angeles power attorney Laura Wasser made it official by filing the paperwork Friday afternoon.
Maria cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce. She asked for joint custody of the couple's minor children, Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13. She also asked for spousal support and requested that Arnold be denied spousal support. Maria asked for Arnold to pay the attorneys fees for both parties.
The couple announced their separation on May 9 and a week later Arnold confessed the bombshell news that he had fathered a child with their maid.
RadarOnline.com, in a joint investigation with Star Magazine, exclusively revealed that Mildred “Patty” Baena was the maid with whom Arnold had the affair and is the mother of his 13 year-old illegitimate child.
Arnold and Maria have four children together, Patrick, Katherine, Christina, and the youngest, Christopher, who is one week apart in age from Mildred’s son.
Their marriage was a fairytale joining of American royalty, Maria a daughter of the Kennedy family, and Hollywood royalty, action hero star Arnold.

The power couple’s net worth has been estimated to be anywhere from $200 million to $800 million and it is believed that they have a pre-nuptial agreement.
Claims of sexual aggressiveness have followed Schwarzenegger for years. During his campaign for governor, 16 women came forward to accuse him of sexual misconduct, including inappropriate groping. Maria defended him during the campaign and stayed by his side until after he left office.
In his only public statement about fathering the child, Arnold said: "After leaving the governor's office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago.”
