Lisa ‘Left-Eye’ Lopes, member of the popular 90's R&B group TLC, would have turned 40 today and RadarOnline.com wants to give her a birthday shoutout!
On April 25, 2002 Lopes died in a car crash while vacationing in Honduras.
The singer apparently tried to swerve around a truck and ended up loosing control - ultimately flipping the car several times and hitting several trees. She was just 30 when she died.
Lopes, along with group members Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, enjoyed huge success in the early 90's and had many hit singles such as Ain't 2 Proud 2 Beg, Hat 2 da Back, No Scrubs, Waterfalls, and What About Your Friends.
When their CrazySexyCool album dropped in 1994, it sold over fifteen million copies worldwide and put TLC on the map as one of the biggest female groups of all time.
Happy birthday and RIP Lisa. You are gone but you are not forgotten.
