The Emirates Palace Hotel has decorated their impressive yuletide centerpiece with $11 million worth of jewels.
The tree has a total of 181 diamonds, pearls, emeralds, sapphires and other precious stones that were donated by Style Gallery.
While some visitors have gawked in awe, others felt the ostentatious display is offensive. Responding to the criticism, the hotel said it “regretted attempts to overload the tradition followed by most hotels in the country.”
For those who wish to see the tree in person, the hotel is offering a week-long stay, priced at one million dollars, which includes a butler, a chauffer and a private jet.
The tree will be on display until New Year's.
