VIDEO: Kate Gosselin's Bodyguard Pulls Prank On Her During Alaska-Based Kate Plus 8
Nov. 8 2010, Published 1:00 p.m. ET
Kate Gosselin traded her high heels for some Timberlands on Sunday's TLC special Kate Plus 8, as the mother-of-eight and her clan visited Alaska, complete with all the appropriate outdoor tourist activities such as sledding, gold-panning and whale calling on the agenda.
The funniest moment of the show came when the Dancing With the Stars vet- who said that a trip to Alaska was high on her kids' wish list- was the victim of a practical joke while panning for gold.
After some early failures, Kate said she was expecting much bigger chunks of gold to be present in the muddy stream. Frustrated by the miniscule specs of gold to examine, Kate jokingly proclaimed, "Clearly I am not a gold-digger!”
Kate was pleasantly surprised when a real gold ring- planted by her loyal bodyguard, Steve Neild- found its' way into the stream Kate and the kids were panning out of.
"I bet nobody has ever found a gold ring before!" she said.
