Real Housewife of Orange County star Tamra Barney is speaking out in defense of her friend and cast mate on the show, Vicki Gunvalson, and her announcement that she is filing for divorce from her husband of 16 years, Donn.
In an exclusive video interview with RadarOnline.com, Tamra — who is going through her own divorce from soon-to-be ex husband Simon - said she feels for her friend.
“I can’t speak for Vicki, but I spent some time with her in the past week or so and she’s a little stressed out and…clearly upset,” Tamra said. “But only she knows what’s best for her.”
Vicki, a feisty, work-obsessed blond known for speaking her mind and sometimes putting her marriage second to her career, seemed to have a change of heart last season, renewing her vows with Donn in beautiful Turks and Caicos.
But as RadarOnline.com previously reported, Vicki filed for divorce on Monday.
“It’s a difficult decision. I’m just beside myself because I love Donn and I love Vicki,” Tamra said. “My heart breaks for both of them and I truly wish them the best. I only wish they get through this without it being a giant circus. And only they know what’s going on.”
Tamra - who spoke to RadarOnline.com at the Luxury Review in Beverly Hills to promote the launch of Ambe skin care line - also addressed the drama in her own life.
Tamra, 43, is still in the process of divorcing her husband, Simon Barney, with whom she has three children (she also has son Ryan from a previous marriage). RadarOnline.com was recently in court with Tamra when she filed a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) against Simon. She admitted it’s been a rough road.
“I’m almost a year into my divorce. It’s a long process and a bumpy road,” she told RadarOnline.com. “I’m doing ok. I would love to say that life’s fabulous, but that’s not the truth. It’s been very difficult. It’s been very hard. But, I’m going through the motions and I’m getting to the light at the end of the tunnel.
