Gary Coleman’s ex-wife Shannon Price has released private text messages she claims the Diff’rent Strokes star sent her before he died, in a bid to prove he didn’t want a restraining order against her.
RadarOnline.com first broke the story that Coleman sought the protection order against Price, 24, in a Utah court back in February, because she was trespassing in his home while he was hospitalized following a heart surgery.

Coleman, who died on May 28, asked the court to forcibly remove Price.
But in a message Coleman sent Price after he filed the paperwork on February 19, which she recounted in an exclusive video interview, the actor wrote: “I apologize for not calling. But I love you more than any other passion, want and/or need.

“Remember, ever if there are no horses to change rides in the middle of stream, I will and always will have the reins of your horse in my left hand, so you’ll always be safe and protected and loved.”
He signed off the message: “Goodnight. Love always and forever!"
Explained Price, “I’m sure he meant that no matter where he was, or no matter what he was doing, I always have his reigns or he always has my reigns... it doesn’t matter what we’re doing we always have each other right there.”
The messages provide a window into the couple’s tumultuous love affair. After Price turned off his life support, it emerged that the couple had secretly divorced -- although they were still living together at the time of his accident.

She said that messages were “very dear” to her and had a lot of “sentimental value.”
Price also eerily admitted she stored the text messages because she “figured he (Coleman) may not be around to tell me he loves me.”
“I’ve always tried to keep the really, really cool text messages that he had sent me,” she told RadarOnline.com.
In another text message, sent on March 29, Coleman said: “I’m saying I love you and you gave my life purpose and meaning. You always have. Without you, I want my heart to stop beating right now cuz (sic) I’ll miss you terribly and I really was looking forward to seeing you and telling you I love you!”
The emergence of the messages could further complicate the two-way legal between Price and Coleman’s ex-girlfriend Anna Gray, both of whom claim to be the actor's rightful heirs to his affairs.
Price has not yet decided if she will table the messages as evidence in the court battle for control of Coleman’s estate.
