Where's Daddy? Scott Disick MIA On Daughter Penelope's Birthday -- Why He's Stayed Away

It appears there's at least one party Scott Disick can miss: his daughter Penelope's third birthday bash, as he was reportedly in Miami while the tot's on the West Coast.

"There is no way in hell that Scott is going to come home for Penelope's birthday" in the wake of his breakup with the mother of his three children, Kourtney Kardashian, sources exclusively tell RadarOnline.com.

"He is terrified of her right now -- and he should be," the source said, noting that Disick's nonstop partying and womanizing has left him in a hole he can't talk himself out of.

"He doesn't even want to have to look her in the face," the source said, "because he knows that there is nothing that he can say that will take this back -- it's done."

Disick has "basically stopped communicating with everyone," source told E!, as he's keeping his distance from a Kardashian family that's firmly standing with Kourtney.

Disick's first public statement following the split made no mention of his daughter's birthday or the breakup -- but rather another booze-drenched Las Vegas bash he's hosting later this week. The post drew him scorn from online commenters critical of his perceived lack of a commitment to parenting.

And while Disick's behavior could be considered worrisome, no one should worry for Penelope, who's already received the first of many birthday wishes from her loving -- and generous -- grandma on the big day.
