Gay Or Straight? 'RHOA' Alum Kordell Stewart Skirts Sexuality Issue In New Tell-All
After rumors swirled that he was arrested for "performing lewd acts" on a "transvestite," Real Housewives of Atlanta and Pittsburgh Steelers alum Kordell Stewart says everyone — including his own coach — thought he might secretly play for the other team.
"Whenever I hung out with anyone, I knew they were wondering if I was gay or straight," he recalls in his new memoir, Truth: The Kordell Stewart Story, of the 1998 scandal that rocked the NFL. "It was like a surveillance camera was on me at all times."
In the jaw-dropping read, the 44-year-old retired football star vehemently denies he hooked up with a trans person that night, instead claiming he was at home watching a movie.
But, he never directly answers the sexuality question, instead insisting that he doesn't promote gay hate.
"To clarify, I have no issues with people's sexuality, gay or straight, and I wouldn't have a problem with having a gay teammate," he attempts to explain. "To each their own."

As RadarOnline.com has reported, the talk about Stewart's sexuality continued after he joined RHOA with his then-wife, Porsha Williams. (The pair split in 2013.)
On a post-divorce episode of the show, ex Williams, 35, claimed her former husband refused to have sex with her.
Then, the following year, a male viral video star claimed he had a steamy affair with Stewart while the star was married to Williams.
However, he later retracted the story.
