James Packer wrote Mariah Carey romantic emails just weeks before their split, imploring the singer to "marry me soon," RadarOnline.com has learned.

According to reports, the messages were leaked following confirmation of the breakup, revealing intimate new details of their communication.

"I'm in love with you and can't wait to get married and be together forever," Packer wrote in one of the emails to his then-fiancée. "There's a song I'm listening to now that's got lots of meanings and I hope it makes u smile. When you get caught between the moon and New York City best that you can do is fall in love."

In another message, the Aussie billionaire called Mariah "MCP," implying her soon-to-be married name, Mariah Carey Packer.

"All my love, laughter, light, respect and appreciation and admiration. . .Thank you my fiancee and soulmate," his email, with the subject line "Will U marry me soon MCP pls," read.

Are the leaked emails a form of payback from Carey? As RadarOnline.com readers know, Women's Day reported that Packer was the one to dump his pop diva queen following a blowout fight on their vacation to Mykonos last month.

"The trip was a last-ditch effort to save their romance," a source close to the couple said at the time.

But now, Carey seems to be out for blood. A source told RadarOnline.com: "She is in self-destruct mode right now and she has been for several months. She is picking up some of her old bad habits and the people around her are starting to worry for her well-being."

The couple first started dating in summer 2015, and Packer popped the question back on January 21, with a 35-carat diamond engagement ringthat Carey, 46, was only too happy to add to her jewelry collection.
