See Mariah Carey’s 35-Carat Diamond Engagement Ring Up Close

See the huge sparkler Mariah Carey is sporting on her left hand.
Blindingly blingy, Carey sported the 35-carat diamond ring that her fiancé James Packer proposed with.
The Australian billionaire popped the question on January 21, 2016 and Carey promptly said yes.
ewelry designer Wilfredo Rosado created the sparkler with Packer. “I took the standards super high, and I wanted to create a ring that could not be measured up to,” he told Vogue.
Carey’s ring took just two weeks and an “army of craftsman” t create. “What is really most interesting about the ring are the proportions—the stone is so large, but we were able to create a beautiful balance with the overall simplicity of the design,” Rosado said.
The dazzling diamond is bigger than Kim Kardashian and Beyoncé’s combined!!
Carey’s gigantic rock is surrounded by two baguettes on either side of the center diamond.
Rosado has worked with Carey for more than 25 years and he knew that she would love the sparkler. “I wanted to give her something super sophisticated and something that took away all of the embellishments that a lot of people use when they design engagement rings these days."
Carey’s ring is even larger than Elizabeth Taylor’s legendary 33-carat diamond from Richard Burton.
“But it is epic,” Rosado told Vogue. “It’s an epic ring for an epic time in her life.”
