Mariah Carey is not used to being told "no," and RadarOnline.com has learned that she's been melting down every since her billionaire fiancée James Packer said, "I don't" and kicked her to the curb! Click through nine photos inside the billion-dollar breakup, as Radar exclusively reveals why Mariah's LATEST major meltdown caused Packer to jump ship.
Over the past few months, Carey and Packer's fairytale romance turned into a bitter battle. Sources said they tried to save their relationship, but it soon became clear it was too late.
According to a source very close to Carey, "Mariah is in self-destruct mode right now and she has been for several months. She is picking up some of her old bad habits and the people around her are starting to worry for her well-being." Indeed, she's been spotted out late in L.A. several times over the last week.
Carey's diva demands during filming of Mariah's World — an eight-part docuseries about her extraordinary life that set to air on E! in Dec. — were a sign that something was off. As Radar reported, a source on set said that Carey "demanded to review all footage after it was shot to make sure she looked gorgeous!"
As fans of Carey know, she is also currently preparing for her upcoming "Sweet Sweet Fantasy" tour. According to the insider, "Mariah is being a total nightmare to work for right now. She has 28 dancers rehearsing 10 hours a day right now at a dance studio in North Hollywood, Calif." Is it going well? She recently cancelled the South American leg of the tour!
In addition, the source told Radar, "Mariah is not really there rehearsing with them because she said that she doesn't dance!"
Don't be fooled by the rock that Carey's still got! According to some reports, Carey is insisting that Packer pay her around $50 million dollars for the inconvenience that the split is causing her. But will she be forced to return that rock?
Meanwhile, "Mariah has nothing to say about the breakup and she does not want to talk about it at all to anyone," said the insider.
The source continued, "Everyone knows that she is feeling hurt, but that is the one emotion Mariah does not like to show." So instead, she's trying to move on.
