Last Kiss Goodbye: Cathriona White's Romantic Birthday Dinner With Jim Carrey -- Days Before Her Suicide

Jim Carrey and Cathriona White were the picture of a happy couple as they shared a tender kiss over dinner. On lookers had no idea that this romantic couple would be rocked by tragedy just days later when a deeply depressed White ended her own life.

The pair was spotted at Nobu in Malibu celebrating White's 30th birthday. “They looked really happy together, kissing and looking into each other’s eyes," a fellow restaurant-goer told The Sun. “It just seemed like a happy couple having a romantic dinner. That’s made the news about Cathriona even more shocking.”

But in the days following what she called a "wonderful belated birthday dinner", White sank into a deep depression. Not only had her relationship with Carrey ended, but it was also the third anniversary of her father's death from brain cancer. "She was very close to her dad, and each year she was really sad on his anniversary," her friend Joseph Réohm told The Sun. “So I think the recipe of her dad and Jim Carrey got her to such a low point she just decided that’s it."

As RadarOnline.com reported, White was found dead Monday after an apparent drug overdose using pills prescribed to Carrey. In a tragic final social media post, White bid her farewell, saying, "Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest."
