The FBI is closing their investigation into Brad Pitt child abuse allegations, according to a new report.

LA-based NBC News Investigations reporter Andrew Blankstein Tweeted on Tuesday night that a "source familiar" with the investigation had claimed the FBI was "closing inquiry into the allegations involving Brad Pitt and children."

"NO charges" will be brought, he wrote. No further information was made public.

As RadarOnline.com reported, the LADCFS also recently closed their own investigation, concluding there was no merit to claims Pitt had verbally or physically assaulted his children with Angelina Jolie.

Some reports had claimed there was an incident on a private jet flight from Nice to Los Angeles on September 14.

The LADCFS reportedly interviewed Pitt, 52, and Jolie, 41, as well as their children Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, but found no cause for concern.

Meanwhile, Pitt's custody battle with Jolie continues to rage, with both requesting physical custody of the children.

Until the case is settled, Pitt has visitation.

Story developing.
