Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are divorcing after almost exactly ten years of marriage, the couple finally confirmed Tuesday after weeks of RadarOnline.com exclusives on their crumbling marriage.

"After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce," the couple told RadarOnline.com in a joint statement. "We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children, whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time."

"This will be our only comment on this private, family matter," they continued. "Thank you for your understanding."

RadarOnline.com was first with breaking news about the couple's marriage crisis in recent weeks, as Affleck, 42, was spotted without his wedding ring on Garner's birthday in April, or when he skipped spending Mother's Day with his wife and children in May.

Though initial reports said Garner, 43, plans to go for full custody of Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 2, an insider told RadarOnline.com that although nothing has been resolved in relation to custody, “it’s not the intent” of Jen to want to fight for full custody.
