Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks is officially calling it quits with her jailbird husband Apollo Nida, RadarOnline.com has learned. But readers shouldn’t be surprised, as RadarOnline.com reported weeks ago that the reality star would leave him once he “began serving his prison sentence.”

“Parks has retained an attorney with the intent of amicably ending her marriage,” the star’s rep, Steve Honig, tells RadarOnline.com.

The reality star’s husband checked himself into a Kentucky prison last month to serve an 8-year sentence after pleading guilty to bank fraud in May. This is his second long-term prison sentence – he served six years for car theft from 2003-2009.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the reality star had every intention of divorcing her crooked hubby once he re-entered prison because she didn’t want to wait around for him.

“There was no way Phaedra was going to put her life on hold for the next decade, awaiting Apollo to be released,” a source told RadarOnline.com exclusively. “The marriage was a huge mistake, but did give her their beloved kids. There were serious trust issues with Apollo, and Phaedra suspects he has been unfaithful, and has been burning through money.

“Phaedra has always been the breadwinner, and she began to resent it.”
