After months of hesitation, Bethenny Frankel has decided to return to the Real Housewives of New York City, Bravo and the Skinnygirl mogul announced this morning.
“I'm genuinely excited, with a side of slightly nervous, for my return to The Real Housewives of New York City,” the single mom, 43, said in a statement. “Bravo has always been the place on television where I have the freedom to be unfiltered, honest and inappropriate, with an audience who has been with me from the beginning. I can't wait to see what this next chapter brings for all of us. Watch what happens!”
As RadarOnline.com first reported, the failed talk show host — who starred on the Bravo hit series from 2008 until 2010— was considering a move back to the series that made her a star over the summer.
“Bethenny has been in formal talks with Bravo to return to ‘RHONY,’ an insider told RadarOnline.com on August 6. “Bravo has told Bethenny she could return as a special guest star, which wouldn’t require as much filming.”
According to Bravo, Frankel will be joined by cast members Carole Radziwill, Heather Thomson, Kristen Taekman, LuAnn de Lesseps, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan.
As RadarOnline.com also first reported, Aviva Drescher was given the pink slip after acting like a diva during the show’s 6th season.
“Because she refused to go on two separate trips with the rest of the women, the producers are fuming at her and they’re taking her out of the show as punishment,” a source told RadarOnline.com in May.
But she’ll still be wrecking havoc on the small screen: Descher, 44, and banker husband Reid will next appear on WE tv’s Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars early next year.
