‘American Idol’ Tragedy: Season 7 Finalist Michael Johns Dies At 35
American Idol has lost one of its young alums.
Season 7 finalist Michael Johns died on August 1, according to multiple reports. The 35-year-old is believed to have succumbed to a blood clot in his ankle.
Johns finished in the top 10 in 2008, the year David Cook was announced the Fox singing competition series’ winner. In 2009, he dropped his third studio album, Hold Back My Heart.
The rock singer also recorded the entire soundtrack to Olympic snowboarder Shaun White’s 2009 documentary, Don’t Look Down.
