In February, Columbus was arrested and charged with misdemeanor spousal battery after he allegedly attacked his estranged wife, Tuere Tanee. A month later, Columbus was charged with felony battery after a gritty bar fight.
In April, Tanee was granted a temporary restraining order from Columbus after he allegedly choked and threatened to kill her during a violent altercation.
“Columbus, who appeared intoxicated, walked into the room with a wine bottle and stared at me threateningly. He then charged me, grabbed the phone, and started yelling at me abusively,” Tanee recounted of the incident in court documents. “He then pinned me on the couch and began to choke me. He placed the knife close to my neck and threatened to kill me and then kill himself.”
