Let’s hope a jury of Teresa Giudice‘s peers trust her more than her own sister-in-law!
The legally-embattled centerpiece of The Real Housewives of New Jersey is suspected by Melissa Gorga of planting tabloid stories that she’d cheated on her husband, in a preview clip of this week’s edition of the Bravo hit.
“I’m excited about having a book but I just think this is really odd … I announce I have this book coming out, all about my marriage, and all of a sudden these rumors come out,” Melissa told Teresa in a pow-wow, with a hint of accusation. “It just seems so contrived and so calculated.
“I have a happy marriage to your brother, you know we’ve never had any rumors or any of this kind of bull***t, [so] this accusation is huge.”
Teresa advised her, “Just ignore it, because I think if you ignore it, it goes away.”
Admitting she’s unsure whether Teresa had anything to do with it, Gorga said she doesn’t trust people who have burned her in the past.
“It’s really frustrating to me,” she said. “I announce I’m writing this book about my marriage and all of a sudden, I’m a cheater. It just is what it is.”

Either way, Giudice has much bigger fish to fry right now than feeding the rumor mill, as she and husband Joe Giudice have been indicted on 39 counts of fraud and tax evasion, and are facing 50 years in jail if convicted.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs on Bravo Sundays at 8/7c.
