Anna Nicole Smith Owes IRS $300k In Back Taxes

Taxes can't be avoided, even in death, and the IRS has just filed a creditors claim against Anna Nicole Smith's estate alleging that the former Playboy Playmate owes almost $300k in back taxes, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Smith died on February 8, 2007, of a drug overdose in a Florida hotel room, several months after her son Daniel also died of a drug overdose.

DOCUMENTS: IRS Files Creditors Claim Against Anna Nicole Smith

According to the court documents submitted by the IRS, the feds allege that Smith's estate owes the agency $289,123.48. Several liens have been placed on her estate, beginning in 2000. "No part of said debt has been paid, and the same is now due and payable in the office of the District Director of Internal Revenue...Said debt has priority must be paid in full advance of distribution to creditors as and to the extent provided by laws," the docs state.
