Megyn Kelly is picking a fight with everyone from Jane Fonda to her network bosses, and insiders warn her days at NBC could be numbered as a result, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.

As RadarOnline.com reported, Kelly recently created controversy when she awkwardly asked 80-year-old Fonda how much past plastic surgery she’s had through the years.

Fonda, in return, blasted Kelly for her inappropriate question.

Not to be outdone, Kelly, 47, went on the air on Jan. 22 to trash Fonda for lecturing her and then brought up the Grace & Frankie star’s Vietnam War scandal from the 1970s.

"Megyn Kelly had her Jane Fonda speech in the teleprompter loaded in at the beginning of the show — she didn't do this off the cuff or on the fly,” an NBC insider told RadarOnline.com. “It was carefully written, by Megyn, but she didn't seek the advice or input of executives at NBC about going after Jane.”

“She didn't need to get permission, but it definitely took everyone in the control room by surprise,” continued the insider. “There was yet another audible gasp that she was going there and going after Jane.”

Now Kelly’s last remaining supporters at Today are abandoning her amid the scandal’s continuing fallout.

Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford “both had been very welcoming to Megyn in the beginning, but those days are over,” revealed the insider.

“Kathie Lee and Megyn had been going to lunch weekly, but there has been a definite cooling off between the two.”

And the disdain for Kelly isn’t just behind the scenes.

“Things have been even more tense at Today after Hoda and Savannah Guthrie laughed at a joke Jane made last week during an appearance on the show that she made about Megyn,” noted the insider.

Unfortunately for Kelly, her actions have attracted the attention of top brass at the peacock.

NBC News President Noah Oppenheim “has now openly voiced his concern about Megyn's feud with Jane Fonda” to NBC News Chairman Andy Lack, said the insider. “Andy has been Megyn's sole defender, and even he is surprised by how petty and thin-skinned she is proving to be.”

It now remains to be seen how long — or even if — Kelly will survive at Today.

“Megyn has told Andy under no circumstances will she be censored in what say says on the air by NBC,” said the insider, adding, “No one thinks she is going to make it to May sweeps.”
