Ryan Lochte is seeking treatment for an “alcohol addiction,” after a boozy bust at a hotel this week.
Cops were reportedly called on the Olympic swimmer, 34, in Newport Beach, Calif. when he allegedly was drunkenly kicking in his own hotel room door.
Lochte was not arrested but he has decided to seek help for his problem.
"Ryan has been battling from alcohol addiction for many years and unfortunately it has become a destructive pattern for him," his rep reportedly said.
"He has acknowledged that he needs professional assistance to overcome his problem and will be getting help immediately.
"Ryan knows that conquering this disease now is a must for him to avoid making future poor decision, to be the best husband and father he can be, and if he wants to achieve his goal to return to dominance in the pool in his 5th Olympics in Tokyo in 2020."
Lochte was banned from swimming competitions until July 2019 after receiving an IV injection in May, which is banned under anti-doping rules.
Lochte was also busted at the Rio Olympics in 2016 drunkenly vandalizing a gas station. He and his buddies initially lied to cops and said they were robbed at gunpoint , but security footage contradicted their statements.
