Porn Star Brett Rossi has blasted her treatment during the infamous Charlie Sheen assault and battery case.
Rossi – writing for women’s interest channel Broadly.com – wants sex industry workers to also be embraced by the #Mettoo campaign.
Sheen’s former fiancée has hit back at her treatment during their high profile case back in 2015.
“It became a high profile case, and the backlash against me was atrocious. I felt immediately categorized as a gold digging, lying whore who couldn’t possibly be telling the truth simply because I make money taking my clothes off,” she reveals.
“It seemed like no one cared that I was telling them I had been both sexually and physically assaulted by a powerful man. I was just a porn star.”
Rossi, 28, and Sheen, 52, were briefly engaged from February to October 2014.
HIV positive Sheen then settled a $5million lawsuit out of court for an undisclosed amount with Rossi - real name Scottine Ross - who accused him of assault and battery, emotional distress, false imprisonment and negligence, as well as forcing her to have an abortion.
Rossi added: “If things are actually going to change, we need to start caring more about all the people who don't walk the red carpet, too,” writes Rossi.
“And I’m specifically concerned about the actresses who work in the porn industry, the escorts, the sex workers, and all the women in the sex industry—who are at high risk, but rarely get taken seriously and are almost never offered a seat at the table.”
RadarOnline.com reported how Rossi got an extended restraining order against Sheen claiming that she felt her life was in danger.
