‘Foodborne Illness,’ Y’all! Paula Deen’s Flagship Restaurant Bombs Health Inspection
If Paula Deen’s racist rants weren’t enough to scare away customers, RadarOnline.com has learned that her flagship restaurant in Savannah just got hit with a nasty “C” by local health inspectors.
Deen’s first-ever restaurant, The Lady & Sons, has carried an “A” grade for several years. But during an inspection on March 27, 2017, inspectors found several violations of local code.
According to records obtained by RadarOnline.com, there was no “person in charge” present at the time of their investigation.
Food was not “separated and protected,” and food-contact surfaces were not “cleaned and sanitized.”
Deen was also dinged for a lack of “proper cooling time and temperature.”
As RadarOnline.com reported, The Lady & Sons took a hit after Deen’s racism scandal in 2013, when she was revealed to have used the ‘N’ word in explosive court documents exclusively obtained by RadarOnline.com.
