As RadarOnline.com previously reported exclusively, family and friends feared for Paris as she's adopted somewhat of hippy lifestyle — backpacking solo through foreign countries and reportedly "going off the rails," according to sources.

Paris most recently went backpacking through France on a "soul-searching" journey and was spotted meeting strange people and sucking down cigarettes — and those close to her are said to be "terrified."

Grandparents Katherine and Joe “would love to put a bodyguard on her and have tried so many times, but she refuses,” the source said.

“There is nothing they can do to stop her right now."
