Not Again! Mariah Carey Caught On Camera Lip Syncing During Las Vegas Residency Debut

Mariah Carey premiered her new residency in Las Vegas last night, but she seems to be up to her old tricks during her big debut! Cameras caught the diva lip syncing yet again.

Carey, 48, kicked off her latest residency, “The Butterfly Returns,” at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Thursday, July 5.

While belting out her classic hit “Boyfriend,” Carey was placed on a rolling box by dancer and boyfriend Bryan Tanaka. But the songstress slipped and fell off the box as it tipped over.

As she fell and dropped her microphone, her high-pitched vocals could still be heard. After righting herself, Carey struggled to catch up to the background track.

When she finished the song, she tried to laugh off the revelation, telling the sold-out crowd, “Sometimes we have a little pain, but it’s alright.”

The faux pas instantly brought back memories of Carey’s disastrous New Year’s Eve performance at the start of 2017.

In that now-classic catastrophe, Carey claimed she was sabotaged by Dick Clark Productions, and made to look bad on purpose to boost the show’s ratings.

She was also busted faking it during a 2015 show in Jamaica and at the BET Awards in 2013.
