'Little People' Fakery! Matt Roloff Busted Over Timing Of $375K Dream House Sale
Jan. 4 2019, Updated 10:18 a.m. ET
Matt Roloff purchased a two bedroom, two-and-half baths home in the sunny state of Arizona for $375,000, but the timing of the purchase suggests the show is scripting scenes and faking storylines!
According to property records exclusively obtained by RadarOnline.com, Matt purchased the property in Surprise, Arizona, last summer on June 28, 2017.
But on the season finale of Little People, Big World, Matt and girlfriend, Caryn Chandler, told fans they closed on the house during the Christmas season — almost six months after they actually bought the home.
"Caryn and I went to Arizona together to scope out a little vacation home," Matt told the cameras during their December taping. "We found a really great place, but we're still trying to decide whether we should put an offer on it."
In another scene, while Caryn and Matt are planning a Christmas party for the family, Caryn is observed getting an unexpected call from a real estate broker. When she hangs up the phone she tells Matt, "the offer on the house came through."
"I'm excited about the future. It's a little stunning because it's real now and we are going to be homeowners," Matt told the cameras in an episode.
But according to RadarOnline.com documents, the duo had already owned the home for six months!
"You just got the word?" Matt asked, and Caryn replied: "They accepted!"
Before they closed on the house — while Matt and Caryn were still in the process of looking at homes in Arizona — they also revealed on Tuesday's show that they were looking to invest in a property together.
However, according to records, Matt is sole owner of the home.
In January, Matt teased the front of the Arizona house when he posted a video to Instagram without a caption.
The video showed Caryn sitting next to him in a golf cart as they passed by the home.
Most recently, Matt took to Instagram and revealed to fans in May that he "was in the process of purchasing a home in Arizona," but according to documents obtained exclusively by RadarOnline.com, it appears the process ended months ago!
Matt's 21-year-old son Jacob, who quit the show in 2014, has publicly bashed the show for being "staged" and "fake" in the past.
