Lady Gaga is taking back the hate words she said about Katy Perry in explosive text messages exposed exclusively by RadarOnline.com, revealing to her followers that her and the singer are now "friends."
"@katyperry & I have grown up in the industry together. We’ve gone through both celebrations & differences w/ each other. These are old texts. We’ve matured, gotten over the past, love each other & share deep respect. Katy is my friend and is truly a kind soul. End of story," Mother Monster tweeted Friday.
Perry Tweeted Gaga back, saying: "Love you too friend ❤️
Onward and upward ?❤️?"
RadarOnline.com blew the lid off Lady Gaga's disdain for Perry after text messages between her and Kesha were exposed slamming the fellow singer as “mean."
In new court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com as part of producer Dr. Luke’s nasty defamation lawsuit against Kesha, the “Tik Tok” singer sobbed about her claims the music mogul sexually assaulted her during their years working together — and said his other frequent client Perry refused to speak out about his behavior.
“Was crying a lot today and needed my mom. I’m really upset with Katy Perry," Kesha told Gaga in the newly unsealed February 26, 2016 messages. “She could bring the whole thing to a head…She was raped by the same man. She is probably really afraid to lose everything.”
“U are really strong standing up to him, she’s not as strong as u yet,” Gaga assured her friend. “Have you talked to her?
“You’re right,” Kesha responded. “I need to find sympathy and empathy for her. She’s so mean. It’s hard.”
“Do you want me to see if I can talk to her?” Gaga said. “I know she’s mean.”
After Kesha asked if she was friendly with Perry, Gaga blasted the idea she would ever be close to the “Dark Horse” singer.
Gaga then proceeded to blast Perry, assuring Kesha she was not friend with Perry. “NO!” she said when Kesha asked if she was "friendly" with Perry. “Omg NO.”
“She makes me angry about shit but I just try to have empathy for her,” the star said.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Perry claimed Dr. Luke did not rape her, and said Kesha's public statements about the alleged rape were false.
According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, Kesha claimed Dr. Luke assaulted her during their working relationship. Her lawsuit against him was ultimately dismissed, but Luke filed a defamation suit against her for the accusations.
Dr. Luke’s attorneys want the Lady Gaga/Kesha text messages included in the case as proof that Kesha allegedly intentionally defamed the producer to others in the entertainment industry, causing him to lose his work relationships and other opportunities.
