28-year-old pop singer Kesha got emotional as she went for a stroll with her boyfriend Brad Ashenfelter Saturday in Turks and Caicos.
In the wake of her losing her bid to be released from her contract with Sony, fellow musician Lady Gaga has rallied behind her.
The Academy Award nominee is urging the label to fire Kesha's alleged rapist, Dr. Luke.
Gaga posted a video to her Instagram account that showed protestors chanting "people over power."
“#PeopleOverProfit you can #FreeKesha if you #FreeDrLuke Do what is RIGHT not what is better for business," Gaga wrote in the caption.
Other artists like Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato have also voiced their support for Kesha.
Following the public outcry, Dr. Luke took to Twitter to defend his name.
I didn’t rape Kesha and I have never had sex with her," he wrote.
Kesha and I were friends for many years and she was like my little sister."
Following the Feb. 19 court ruling, Kesha is required to fulfill her contract with Sony, delivering six more albums.
