After Kim Zolciak’s racism rant, her homophobic charges and a campaign to get Don’t Be Tardy canceled, RadarOnline.com exclusively learned that production execs were planning major “damage control” to save her reputation and show.
Her shocking meltdown began on the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion show. “I want to talk about the roaches as a metaphor for racism,” Andy Cohen said to her about the video her daughter, Brielle Biermann, shot in NeNe Leakes’ house with roaches in there.
“You’re f**king reaching. You’re reaching!” she said and unleashed on him after the taping wrapped.
“This whole racism thing in this day in age is bullsh*t,” she told Cohen while crying in a bathroom.
“Every one of those mother f**kers on that couch owe this world a f**king apology for this racism sh*t! They already tried to claim that sh*t long ago, Sheree, as you know. Nobody bought into it then because the social media wasn’t there and racism wasn’t all that real. You know it.”
Outrage quickly ensued, with Leakes ripping her on social media and a Change.org petition started to cancel Zolciak’s show.
A well-placed insider told RadarOnline.com that Bravo execs were in a panic over her tirade and they hatched an emergency plan to save the show that was a “mainstay for the network.”
“They are going to do a lot of damage control,” the source snitched to RadarOnline.com.
Filming is currently taking place on Don’t Be Tardy, but the storylines are changing. “They’re going to try to humanize her now after all of this scandal. There will be more scenes of her being nice and relatable to save the show.”
Zolciak was also facing backlash after she dismissed her relationship with DJ Tracy Young, who
called her “homophobic” and “nasty” to Page Six .
“She’s a liar, because she denied what went on and the reunion brought it all back up,” Young said.
“There will be a major push to make Kim look better, the show has been on for years and they’re not giving up on her, yet,” the source revealed.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Zolciak was NOT offered a contract for the next season of RHOA, despite saying she would take a pay cut on Don’t Be Tardy to be a peach again.
