Kelly Osbourne's Addiction Spiraled After Parents' Marriage Started To Crumble

Kelly Osbourne recently shocked fans when the reality star daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne announced that she was celebrating one year of sobriety after secretly relapsing two years ago on drugs and alcohol!

But RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned from a close friend of Kelly’s that she “fought very hard” for her newfound sobriety — and deserves all the praise in the world!

“Kelly is incredibly devoted to her recovery,” the pal told RadarOnline.com. “She does not pretend to be better than anyone and is not shy at all about discussing her addiction."

"She is very involved in A.A., she goes to meetings regularly and she does whatever it takes to stay sober," added the friend.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Kelly, 33, admitted to battling drugs and alcohol for nearly a decade prior to hosting E!’s Fashion Police, the show she left in 2015 amid tensions with several of her co-stars.

The following year, Kelly’s famous parents, Ozzy, 69, and Sharon, 65, announced that they were planning to end their 33-year-marriage after The Black Sabbath frontman admitted to cheating on his wife with six women.

According to the source, the pain was just too much for Kelly to handle!

“Kelly started drinking and using again when her parents' marriage was falling apart," the friend told RadarOnline.com of Ozzy and Sharon, who managed to avoid divorce and have since reconciled. "She was just trying to numb the pain at that time."

“Her brother Jack is sober and was there to save her, thank God," continued the source. "He is the one who convinced her to get sober again and he is a huge part of her recovery.”
