Hoda Who? Kathie Lee Flees 'Today' For Israel After Kotb's Promotion Shocker

RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal that Kathie Lee Gifford has fled New York City for the Promised Land!

"Kathie Lee is on her way to Israel,” a source revealed of the Today co-host, who was blindsided when her sidekick Hoda Kotb was promoted to take over for Matt Lauer after he was canned for multiple allegations of sexual impropriety.

As RadarOnline.com reported, Gifford, 64, is “livid” about 53-year-old Kotb moving on — and up — “but she knew it was coming.”

“Hoda is now too big for the fourth hour,” a show insider previously explained. “She wants to focus all her attention on the first two hours.”

Meanwhile, Gifford will be concentrating on promoting her new book, The Rock, the Road, and the Rabbi: My Journey into the Heart of Scriptural Faith and the Land Where It All Began.

Gifford, reads a blurb about the book, “has always desired a deeper understanding of God’s Word and a deeper knowledge of God Himself. But it wasn’t until she began studying the biblical texts in their original Hebrew and Greek — along with actually hiking the ancient paths of Israel — that she found the fulfillment of those desires.”

NBC has yet to name who will take Kotb’s place opposite Gifford, a decision that could take months to figure out.

How will Kathie Lee fare on Today once Hoda is gone? Who would you like to see as her new morning-show sidekick?
