Joseph Duggar And Wife Kendra Caldwell Welcome Baby Boy
The Duggars welcomed another baby into their huge clan!
Joseph Duggar's wife Kendra Caldwell gave birth to their first child, a son, on Friday afternoon, June 8, exactly ten months after the couple's September 8, 2017 wedding!
A photo of the smiling couple and their newborn little boy was posted on the Duggar family web site and Kendra also shared it on her Instagram account.
Their son was bundled up in a blanket and had his eyes tightly closed as Kendra and Joseph were beaming with joy as they held him.
According to the site, the boy weighed 7 lbs., 8 oz. and measured 20.5 inches in length.
Counting On stars Joseph, 23, and Kendra, just 19, released a birth announcement which read, “No matter how many times we’ve experienced the joy of babies born in our families, there’s nothing comparable to the joy in our hearts today! Children truly are a gift from God. We are so thankful for his safe arrival and this new journey as parents."
It was no surprise that Kendra gave birth to a son as the two disclosed the baby’s sex in February on the Duggar family's site after having announced her pregnancy in December.
Back then, Kendra wrote on social media, “We’re having a son! I’m especially excited to develop a mother son relationship with my little man. We’re so excited to step into this new stage in life. Pray for us for a safe delivery and healthy baby.”
Joseph added, “Wow! We are so happy to learn that our firstborn is a boy! Our minds are already racing toward all the future memories to be made with this little guy! Most of all, we are already asking God to bless him and help us grow him into a loving and faithful follower of Christ!”
The Duggar son got married on September 8 after getting engaged at his sister Joy-Anna's wedding to Austin Forsyth in May 2017. As RadarOnline.com readers know, Joy-Anna was hit with a shotgun wedding scandal over her quickie pregnancy news.
On a Counting On episode, Joseph talked about the torment of waiting 'til he married Kendra to have sex.
“We’re not kissing before we get married, we’re just saving ourselves for each other,” he explained to the cameras.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, the Duggars adhere to a strict no sex and/or non-approved physical contact (no kissing and no full hugs) before marriage. They are known for bizarre "side hugs" in courting.
But it's clear Joe and Kendra got busy right after tying the knot!
