Jon Hamm could be playing with fire in his ongoing struggle with staying away from the booze !

RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal that Hamm hit a dive bar in New York City's West Village on Mar. 30.

"He was there with a huge group, including Paul Rudd included, to celebrate a friend's birthday," noted an eyewitness of Hamm, who wore a newsboy cap and eyeglasses.

As RadarOnline.com reported, Hamm, 47, was caught on camera knocking back beers in Los Angeles last November despite the fact he spent 30 days in treatment for alcohol addiction back in 2015.

"There's something to be said for pulling yourself out of the grind…and concentrating on recalibrating the system," he noted the following year.

The former Mad Men star managed to keep away from the flowing drinks during his Friday night outing in the Big Apple.

Hamm "wasn't drinking and was only there for maybe 30 minutes," said the witness, adding that the actor left before midnight while "the rest of the group was there for hours having fun."
