Former President George H.W. Bush reportedly was hospitalized in Maine on Sunday after experiencing low blood pressure and fatigue.

Bush's spokesman, Jim McGrath, tweeted Sunday afternoon that the 93-year-old former politician will likely stay at a Southern Maine Health Care facility "for a few days for observation."

According to McGrath, "The former president is awake and alert, and not in any discomfort."

Just over a month ago, on April 21, Bush attended his beloved wife Barbara's funeral in Houston. The former FLOTUS was 92 when she died.

Bush Sr. looked devastated as he sat in the audience listening to the eulogy of Barbara last month.

Barbara had decided not to seek further medical treatment for congestive heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

The emotion might have been too much for the former president as he was taken to a Houston, Texas, hospital the day after the funeral, on April 22, for a blood infection, and released on May 4.

The elder Bush, whose namesake son also became President, has suffered various health woes in recent years.

Still, the gutsy ex-politician never gives up. Bush was in Maine this weekend to attend an American Legion pancake breakfast in Kennebunkport in honor of Memorial Day.
