Catelynn Lowell Says The Meds She Took For Five Years Didn't Work

Catelynn Lowell has revealed that the mental health medication she took for five year didn't work for her.

As the In Touch Weekly website has reported, Lowell just made an appearance on Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry's podcast, Coffee Convos, with her husband Tyler Baltierra and talked about her mental issues and what she's done to try to conquer them.

Teen Mom OG personality Lowell, 26, said that she had undergone genetic testing and "I feel way better. I found out that the medication I was on for five years doesn't even work for me so they put me on different medications, and they seem to be working."

Lowell added that her mental health problems "stem from the trauma in my past so I'm going to have to keep digging into that."

She and Baltierra also chatted about wanting more kids after they gave up their first daughter to adoption and are raising their second little one, Nova.

"We're kind of not rushing into things right now," Lowell noted, referencing her devastating miscarriage.

Lowell stunned Teen Mom OG fans last year with news that she had felt suicidal, writing, "Well today I thought of every way to kill myself.. so I'm going to treatment."

She also revealed grim details about her dark thoughts exclusively to RadarOnline.com, saying, "I'm taking the time I need right now to take good care of myself. On November 17th I thought of every way possible to commit suicide, from wrapping a belt around my neck to just running my car into an electric pole."

Via Twitter, Baltierra shared on social media, "My life would be desolate without her."

Lowell, who suffered a miscarriage, went in and out of the treatment facility and as RadarOnline.com has reported, her dad recently revealed her traumatic childhood after her PTSD diagnosis.
