“I said ‘YES,’” Vicki gushed when she showed off the stunning rock that Steve placed on her finger, but an insider snitched to Radar that the event was hardly a surprise.
As Radar previously reported, the proposal was planned after she assured network execs that she would get hitched for a new storyline on the Bravo hit show.
Just a few years ago, Vicki's trainwreck romance with ex Brooks Ayers exploded on camera when the cast infamously accused him of faking cancer.

“It was part of her agreement to get engaged,” the source spilled about the RHOC star getting a rock from boyfriend Steve.
“They were filming because she promised the producers Steve would propose when they told her they wanted to fire her,” the source said.
The RHOC insider told Radar that there was a multi-season plan that Vicki gave to the producers.
“She had to have her engagement filmed this season, and then next season her wedding will be filmed,” the snitch said.
Vicki’s status on RHOC is still up in the air. “She may earn her full-time status back, but she still got a pay decrease,” the source told Radar.
The engagement was the culmination of Vicki’s desperate plan to stay on the show that she has starred in from the very first season.
“Vicki is trying so hard this season,” a source previously told Radar. “She’s ‘whooping it up’ as much as she can. She never has an off day, and is up for anything that gets thrown her way.”
