Kyle only appeared in two episodes of his family's reality show, Chrisley Knows Best, during the first season. However, tensions between Kyle and his over-the-top father were obvious, leading fans to question his absence in the following episodes.
Kyle has admitted to dealing with addiction issues, and tensions with Chloe's biological mother, Angela Johnson.
As Kyle struggled, Todd and his wife Julie got full custody of Kyle's daughter Chloe. Not long after entering treatment, Kyle hit back claiming that his father was gay and that he was a racist. He said that the only reason that his Todd wanted Chloe on Chrisley Knows Best is because Chloe was half black and it would be good for demographics. Todd vehemently denied his claims.
Luckily, as fans know, Kyle eventually got the help he needed to treat his addiction and also met new girlfriend Alexus Whilby, who he is still with today.

As for baby Chloe, she became an instant fan favorite on Chrisley Knows Best and Todd told RadarOnline.com that he was determined to give Chloe an amazing life, with education and all the love that any child could hope for.
But athough Todd's relationship with his granddaughter Chloe has always been solid, his relationship with both Todd and Alexus has continued to deteriorate.

In 2015, Kyle hired a lawyer to try to end Todd's guardianship of him, and to regain control over his life. He was successful.

Although Kyle's new life does not include his father, yet, he says he is currently sober. But he's not done fighting his dad. Kyle recently took Todd to court again in the hopes of getting Chloe removed from Chrisley Knows Best. At the time, Chloe was well-adjusted to her famous life and being in front of the camera.

That all changed this summer, however, when Kyle won the fight and Chloe was pulled off of the show. Still, Todd told RadarOnline.com he will never give up custody of the little girl.
