‘Teen Mom OG’ Ratings Plummet! Ex Star Farrah Abraham Demands MTV Cancel The Show

Farrah Abraham brought in over a million viewers per episode before her Teen Mom OG firing.
Although the MTV series tried to keep ratings up with having new cast members Bristol Palin and Cheyenne Floyd join Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood, ratings slumped.
Bristol’s departure from the series only made things worse for MTV, as ratings plummeted in recent season 8 episodes.

Starting Off Strong
The season premiere on June 10 brought in 990,000 viewers, according to TV By The Numbers. On June 17, ratings went down to 868,000. Ratings decreased slightly to 849,000 on June 24.
Drop In Viewers!
Ratings continued to decrease on July 1, as 778,000 people tuned in. Then on July 8, 734,000 viewers watched the episode. The July 15 episode brought in only 679,000 people.
Ratings Plummet
Viewers continued to drop, as the most recent episode on July 22 brought in 658,000.
Better With Farrah?
The October 2018 premiere of Teen Mom OG brought in 957,000 with the additions of Bristol and Cheyenne. For the season premiere before, which featured Farrah, 1,319,000 viewers tuned in, as finale ratings were high with 1,098,000.
Slamming Teen Mom!
Farrah, 28, exclusively told RadarOnline.com that Teen Mom OG “should be cancelled! “No one is believing the fake story lines,” she said. “These other parents are super fans of the OG girls and have been fans, planned pregnancy is not what Teen Mom OG was about and now it’s okay to keep planning pregnancies to get on TV? Sad mainly for the children.”
Moving On
She then said that she’s “done” with the reality TV world. “I’m thankful I can bring a new element to unscripted and scripted TV soon, as a screen writer, director and producer,” she said. “I’m blessed for my 10 years and can’t wait to make TV that is original, better made, better talent and better executives.” As RadarOnline.com readers know, she was fired from the series because of her harsh treatment of the crew and return to the adult film industry.
New Cast Member
As RadarOnline.com broke, Teen Mom 3 star Mackenzie Mckee is joining the struggling series. “She will appear in a few episodes towards the end of the season,” she said. She appeared on an extended trailer for the remainder of the season.
Interesting Storyline
“Mackenzie’s scenes will be an update on her crazy life,” an insider told RadarOnline.com. “Viewers will find out what’s going on with her marriage to Josh and how they’re working through their ugly past. It will follow them getting along and figuring things out.”
More To The Story
Her storyline will also include her mom Angie’s cancer battle, her fitness company Body By Mac and more.
Shocking Arrest
The show is likely to gain viewers following Amber’s July 5 arrest for domestic battery. As RadarOnline.com has reported, she was arrested after hitting Andrew with a shoe while he held their 1-year-old son James. She was also charged with criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon after allegedly attacking him with a machete during the fight. Andrew has also filed for full custody of their son.
