Back With A Bang! New ‘Teen Mom OG’ Star Mackenzie Mckee’s Shocking Storyline Exposed

Teen Mom 3 star Mackenzie McKee is returning to the franchise with appearances on Teen Mom OG – and her storyline is expected to be more dramatic than ever!

As RadarOnline.com broke, Mackenzie began filming for the current season of Teen Mom OG after Bristol Palin quit the series. She is expected to appear in a few episodes towards the end of the season.

Mackenzie even attended the reunion over the weekend with her family in New York City.

RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal what viewers could expect from Mackenzie’s storyline this season.

“Mackenzie’s scenes will be an update on her crazy life,” an insider told RadarOnline.com. “Viewers will find out what’s going on with her marriage to Josh and how they’re working through their ugly past. It will follow them getting along and figuring things out.”

In January 2017, Mackenzie admitted in an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com that she was texting another man after Josh accused her of cheating on social media. But she insisted there was "no flirting or affair.” “I didn’t do that,” she said. Josh moved out of their home. “I don’t know what Josh is going to do,” she explained. “He said he is going to divorce me several times. I hope he can calm down and talk to me.” She admitted their marriage began to crumble when she experienced postpartum depression after the birth of her youngest son Broncs, who was in the NICU for a month after his birth. The two worked on their marriage and seem to be in a better place today.

Her storyline will also touch on her mother’s cancer battle. As RadarOnline.com readers know, her mom Angie is currently battling stage IV lung cancer.

Mackenzie is owner of her fitness business Body By Mac. Her fitness modeling will also be addressed on the new season. She is mom to children Gannon, Jaxie and Broncs.

As RadarOnline.com reported, Mackenzie will “appear in a few episodes towards the end of the season.” She appeared on an extended trailer for the remainder of the season.

A second insider previously told RadarOnline.com that her appearance is a “trial period.” The run will determine if she will “continue as an original girl.”

Mackenzie was in the running to join Teen Mom 2, but lost the role to her Teen Mom 3 co-star Briana DeJesus. “They interviewed me and Bri two months ago, but chose her,” she told RadarOnline.com in March 2017. “I thought, ‘This can’t be true!’ I was confused.”

She was then in the running to replace Farrah Abraham on Teen Mom OG after her firing. The role ultimately went to Bristol and Cheyenne Floyd. "It's obvious what is going on right now and that's okay," she told RadarOnline.com in September 2018. "I have nothing bad to say about anyone. I am happy for them all. These girls have a great opportunity and I hope they use it in a positive way."

New co-stars Maci Bookout, Amber Portwood, Catelynn and Cheyenne were against adding a fifth girl to replace Bristol. “No, we’re good,” Amber said in an interview with Us Weekly, as Maci added, “No new friends.” Catelynn agreed, “No, I’m good with just four.”

Catelynn expressed her frustration over Twitter when RadarOnline.com broke the story of Mackenzie joining the show. “If it’s not broke don’t fix it! #TeenMomOG #JustSaying,” she wrote. When a fan wrote, “I didn’t realize you’re such a mean girl,” Mackenzie responded, “Same.” Catelynn then explained, “It has NOTHING to do with Mackenzie at all! It’s with the ppl that don’t explain what’s happening. I welcome anyone just think MTV would tell us not find out online.”
