Teen Mom OG ratings have been steadily declining since Farrah Abraham was fired and Bristol Palin quit the MTV series.
Production added Teen Mom 3 star Mackenzie McKee to hopefully boost ratings, as she has a large social media presence.
But unfortunately for the cast and crew, Mackenzie has been unable to help the series’ struggling numbers – even with her infidelity storyline!
Scroll through RadarOnline.com’s gallery to go inside the series’ low ratings.
Low Ratings
On Mackenzie’s premiere episode on Monday, August 5, 693,000 viewers tuned in, according to TV By The Numbers. The episode was a drop from July 29, which brought in 773,000 viewers.
Struggling Season
It’s been a rough season after the loss of Farrah and Bristol. The season premiere on June 10 brought in 990,000 viewers. On June 17, ratings decreased to 868,000. Ratings dropped again to 849,000 on June 24.
How Low Can They Go?
Ratings continued to decline on July 1, as 778,000 people tuned in. Then on July 8, 734,000 viewers watched the episode.
Not Her Fault!
Fortunately for Mackenzie, her premiere episode wasn’t the season low. The July 15 episode brought in only 679,000 people, while the July 22 episode had 658,000 viewers.
Big Numbers
The October 2018 premiere brought in 957,000 with the additions of Bristol and Cheyenne Floyd. For the season premiere before, which featured Farrah, 1,319,000 viewers tuned in, as finale had 1,098,000 viewers.
Cancel It!
Farrah previously told RadarOnline.com that the show should be cancelled. “No one is believing the fake story lines,” she said. “These other parents are super fans of the OG girls and have been fans, planned pregnancy is not what Teen Mom OG was about and now it’s okay to keep planning pregnancies to get on TV? Sad mainly for the children.”
Good Effort
Despite the low ratings, Mackenzie certainly brought drama. Her husband Josh travels for rodeo. On the episode, she received a text from a woman claiming her own husband hit on another women. Josh was with the man.
Marital Issues
“Before we were married, we were unfaithful to each other and lied,” Mackenzie told a friend. “But when that happened we were fighting, nothing was rock solid. We are rock solid now. That’s why this hurts more than any time in the past. Is he 1 percent of who I think he is?”
Trust Troubles
When she confronted him, he explained, “I stuck around and had some beers. Some women were there. We got to talking about this or that. That was it. There was no affection or anything like that there. I was scared to tell you I was at a bar. I just want you to trust me.”
Bad Romance
She responded, “Once I found out you lied about going… that’s the whole issue. It’s not what you did, it’s how I found out.” He replied, “I was avoiding a fight and I was wrong.” She then asked, “Are you going to tell me when stuff like that happens?” When he responded, “I don’t know,” she went off. “I cannot live with you on the answer,” she said. “You don’t know?!”
