The FBI, State and Local police searched 77-year-old Ronald Logan’s home on March 17, 2017, looking for more clues directly related to the brutal murders of Williams, 13, and German, 14. Logan owns the property where the girls’ bodies were found on February 14, 2017.
Logan was arrested on March 11, 2017, for a probation violation stemming from a previous DUI, and remains behind bars. His attorney insisted that his client “had no involvement in this heinous crime," and he's not been named as a suspect.
Sgt. Tony Slocum told RadarOnline.com exclusively that the search on Logan’s property was related to the deaths of Williams and German.
“All of this information is helping us to put that big puzzle back together,” Sheriff Tobe Leazenby told RadarOnline.com about the thousands of tips they have received and the evidence they have tracked down in the case.
Sheriff Leazenby told RadarOnline.com that Logan will be held in jail until at least March 29, 2017.
Sgt. Tony Slocum also shot down the claim that a hiker had found bloody evidence on Logan’s property weeks after the police did their initial searches. “Nope…not even remotely true,” he Tweeted.
