Shameless! Miley Holds Hands With Kaitlynn After Shading Liam At VMAs

Miley Cyrus is just fine following her split from husband Liam Hemsworth. Hours after performing at the MTV VMAs, the singer was pictured holding hands with new flame Kaitlynn Carter while out in New York City.

The couple was joined by Miley’s mom, Tish Cyrus, who RadarOnline.com reported is extremely confused about her daughter’s new relationship.

Stepping out of the awards show this Monday, August 26, Miley, 26, and Kaitlynn, 30, were all smiles. While the Hills star looked casual in a white T-shirt, grey blazer, jeans, and sneakers, Miley went all out in ripped jeans, a white crop top, a tan flannel, and a brown cowboy hat. She finished her look with a stacked chain necklace and rocked a cat eye.

RadarOnline.com readers know her PDA-filled outing with Kaitlynn came after Miley took the VMA stage to perform her new breakup single, “Slide Away,” for the first time live. The song includes many references about her broken marriage to Liam, 29, and suggests they called it quits because after ten years together, she’s ready to move on.

During her performance this Monday, Miley changed the lyrics “Move on, we're not 17 / I'm not who I used to be / You say that everything changed / You're right, we're grown now,” to “Move on, we're not 17 / I'm not who I used to be / You say that everything changed / You're right, I’m grown now,” prompting fans to believe she was shading her ex after he filed for divorce last week.

Liam’s divorce filing did not come as a shock to fans, who knew he was incredibly “heartbroken” over Miley’s public affair with Kaitlynn.

A source told RadarOnline.com Liam felt blindsided when photos of Miley kissing Kaitlynn in Italy were exposed, hours before they got a chance to send out a joint statement about their split.

Sources have said Miley was “bored” in her marriage to Liam, and likewise, the Hunger Games actor no longer felt content with his famous wife. The two were having difficulties, insiders said, but Miley’s romance with Kaitlynn was the last straw for Liam.

“He wants to put all of this behind him, move on, and find a fresh start,” a source close to the hunk exclusively told RadarOnline.com.

“I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating. Liam and I have been together for a decade. I’ve said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will,” she wrote on August 22.

Four days later, Miley showed up looking hotter than ever at the VMAs, and her gorgeous new girlfriend, Kaitlynn, was right by her side.

Photos of the two canoodling backstage quickly leaked, and soon, the lovebirds were spotted heading to an afterparty with Tish, 52.

As RadarOnline.com reported, Miley’s family is “skeptical” of her relationship with Kaitlynn, and her mother seems to believe the reality star is just using the singer for fame!

“Tish doesn’t know what to believe, because she is hearing from Liam that Miley and Kaitlynn were hooking up while they were both married,” a source close to the Cyrus family told RadarOnline.com. “She has to support Miley regardless though, and Miley is now telling her mom they are serious. It is all just way too much, too fast.”

Regardless, Tish has been spotted out with the pair more than once and was all smiles while grabbing lunch with them following their European vacation.
