Meghan Wears The Royal Pants! Markle Forgoes Formalwear During Special Event

Meghan Markle kept it casual as she and soon-to-be husband Prince Harry attended their first official evening affair together in London. While many speculated what type of gown or dress the future princess would wear to the semi-formal event, Markle surprised them all by showing up in a pants suit! The Suits star turned heads by wearing a suit of her own, designed by British fashion pioneer Alexander McQueen, a favorite of the royal family.
Markle, 36, paired the tailored black pantsuit with an ivory silk crepe bodysuit from Tuxe Bodywear and sky-high black pumps.
The couple braved the rain Thursday to attend the annual Endeavour Fund Awards.
The ceremony honors the achievements of wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women.

Helping wounded veterans and soldiers is a passion of Harry’s.
He’s already helped create the Invictus Games, a Paralympic-style event for wounded veterans.
In fact, it was at last year’s games that Meghan and Harry made their debut as a couple, during a wheelchair tennis match.
Since they announced their engagement at the end of November, the couple have embarked on a whirlwind number of royal engagements, designed to introduce Los Angeles-born Markle to royal life.
Harry and Markle are set to tie the knot on May 19 this year.
