Gosselin was slammed after she recently revealed her son Collin was sent away from home to treat his "special needs." The mom dropped the bombshell secret on Instagram to promote her People magazine cover, and fans were quick to criticize the fact she shared such private news. "Shame on you for being so desperate for attention that you disclose this information about your beautiful boy!" one mom wrote. "There is no low too low for you. Colin deserves better from you."

In the bombshell exposé Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World, author Robert Hoffman revealed that the former reality star went to far in disciplining her troubled son! She admitted that she was "too rough" with the boy, now 12.

According to Hoffman, the struggling mom even admitted that she had a problem when it came to raising her eight little ones. "I saw my dad in myself today and that really scares me!" Gosselin wrote. "Lord, I am begging you to help me be a loving, caring, kind and slow-to-anger mommy. Please stop me somehow from hurting my kids."

In March 2015, the 41-year-old's now-ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, revealed in custody court that Kate would leave "large red welts" on the kids after hitting them. Around the same time, she was reportedly being investigated by Child Services for allegedly abusing Collin. She has not been charged with a crime.

Jon, 39, criticized his ex's parenting style in a 2014 interview with InTouch magazine. "You can't breathe the wrong way without upsetting her. The kids have to ask before they get a drink, before they get a snack, before they open the fridge, before they go to the bathroom. It's ridiculous," he said.

He also alleged that Kate was making their kids too clingy by keeping them isolated in their rural Pennsylvania home.  "They have problems adjusting with their peers," he said. "They are well-mannered, and that is great, but when we go into an environment with other children, they cling to me."

In 2009, the reality star was accused of being a bad mom when she refused to give her daughter, Mady, water as they prepared for an interview. When the kid complained she was thirsty, Kate took sips off her own water bottle and put it to the side and refused to share.

Some years later, in 2012, news broke that Kate spanked her kids with a wooden spoon! Meanwhile, RadarOnline.com exclusively revealed that Jon had an issue with her extreme parenting methods. "Jon knew that Kate was using that wooden spoon with the kids and hated it," a family insider said.

Kate's former nurse revealed to Us Weekly in 2009 that the monster mom fired 40 nurses and nurse's aides in just three months! The Gosselin's ex-employee, Angela Krall, said that Kate even once fired a woman for washing her hands in the kitchen sink rather than the bathroom. She also noted that the reality star was a perfectionist who once rejected cribs donated by a church because they didn't match.
