Angelina Jolie Says She's 'Not Feeling Very Strong' Amid Divorce & Son In College

Angelina Jolie has said she's "not feeling very strong" in her first public appearance after tearfully sending oldest child Maddox off to college. The star, 44, walked the red carpet at Disney’s D23 Expo on Saturday night, August 24, to promote the sequel Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil and her anticipated role as Thena in Marvel’s Eternals.
At the Anaheim, California event, Angelina told E! News about her life, "I’m like everybody and… especially these last few years haven’t been the easiest, and I haven’t felt very strong. There’s something when you’re not feeling very strong, where you push yourself." As RadarOnline.com readers know, Angelina has gone through a nasty divorce from Brad Pitt which isn't quite final—and, this week, she fought back tears as she left golden boy son Maddox, 18, at his college dorm in South Korea.
Angelina told onlookers at Yonsei University in a video obtained by RadarOnline.com that it was the day “I drop him off,” and candidly told the crowd, “I know, I’m trying not to cry.” She returned to Los Angeles and hung out with her son Pax, 15, and later took her younger four children Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 11, to Disneyland.
Life goes on and on Saturday, Angelina was promoting her career at D23 in a little black dress. She confided to E! about Maleficent, "I’m so grateful that I have the opportunity to play these kind of characters, that pull out every bit of strength I have and that remind me that I can be strong. Sometimes you really feel low and you gotta pull it back up." Angelina also commented on RadarOnline.com's exclusive video of her dropping off Maddox at college!

The superstar walked the red carpet alone. She said after RadarOnline.com's clip showed her leaving Maddox at college, "I didn't realize everybody had watched me do it."

Angelina also told reporters about Maddox attending a South Korean university, "The school is so wonderful and we're so proud that he's there. And it's a great university and I'm just amazed I have a son who's that smart."
