Amber Begs Court To Deny Baby Daddy’s Request To Relocate Son: ‘It’s Disingenuous!’
Sept. 9 2019, Updated 1:02 p.m. ET
Amber Portwood’s baby daddy Andrew Glennon filed a motion to relocate their 1-year-old son to California after the Teen Mom OG star was arrested for domestic battery on July 5, 2019. But Portwood isn’t giving up their son without a fight, as RadarOnline.com can reveal exclusive details on her fight to stop his request to move their son from Indiana.
In court papers obtained from Marion Circuit Court in Indiana, Portwood, 29, filed a Verified Objection to Father’s Relocation on September 4, 2019.
In the filing, Portwood explained how the Petitioner’s Notice of Intent to Relocate “fails to state a reason why the child should relocate.”
“Mother objects to the relocation and believes that it is not in the best interest of the child to relocate to California,” the court papers read. “Mother requests that Father’s Notice of Intent to Relocate be denied. Mother is requesting that the court enter an order preventing the relocation of the child.”
Although he claimed that his employment and family are in California, and that he has no ties to Indiana, Portwood argued, “Father has previously been employed as a day trader which can be done from any location.” She claimed his employment argument is “disingenuous.”
“Father’s Notice of Intent to Relocate fails to comply, as it did not provide a proposal for parenting time,” the court papers read.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, the State of Indiana charged the Teen Mom OG star with one count of domestic battery, a felony count of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and a felony count of domestic battery.

Andrew’s Fight
On July 9, Glennon, 35, requested sole legal and primary physical custody of James. He requested Amber have supervised visitation.
Shocking Claims
The court papers read, “Father believes Mother is currently unable to provide a safe, stable and secure environment for James on an ongoing basis due to her frequent refusal and/or failure to take medicines prescribed to treat her mental-health conditions, among other concerns.” A no-contact order was put in place to protect Glennon and their son.
Amber’s Victory
But then at a July 25 court hearing, the no-contact order protecting her son was lifted. “She has supervised visits only for the child,” the clerk told RadarOnline.com. The no-contact order for Glennon has remained in place.
Arrest Details
The custody drama comes after her shocking arrest. According to an Affidavit of Probable Cause, Portwood “went to her drawer and took a handful of Klonopin and tossed it back like it was nothing” after the two got into a fight over traffic when trying to see fireworks. When he threatened to call the police, she “regurgitated the pills.” Andrew locked himself and their son in a room when she picked up a machete, which she had in her home for protection. “She hit the door with the machete and kicked the door and broke the handle,” the report read. He then texted 911 for help.
Her Side
Portwood denied the incident with the pills and machete, but admitted to hitting him with a shoe while he was holding their son.
Social Media Battle!
Portwood and Glennon have now turned to social media to slam each other amid their nasty court war. After Portwood’s interview with Dr. Drew Pinsky aired for the reunion, he accused her of standing up their son for the TV gig.
Firing Back
In an Instagram Live video on Friday, September 6, Portwood went off on her ex. “I stood up James on one of my supervised visits or whatever the hell it was,” she screamed. “I never stood up James one time! I had a contractual obligation. He can go f**k himself. I’m not talking directly to him, but in general. He’s a liar. To sit there any say I stood up my son is the most disgusting thing he could ever say about me. Maybe he’s jealous because he couldn’t get an interview with Dr. Drew!”
Shocking Claims
She then accused him of using her for money and fame. “I’m not the abuser, he’s the f**king abuser," she fired. "Nasty man. If I hear one more thing about him it’s all coming out. I’m not playing any more. It will all come out. There was s**t he did. Dude met me and never worked a day in his life!”
Wild Rant
She then said she’s getting “really pissed.” “You are disgusting,” she yelled. “I’ll get dirty. I had to find that s**t out two years later. There are some stuff get out of here. It’s disgusting. You had two restraining orders! Do not make me talk about you! Nasty person. The s**t I found out even this last few weeks disgusting.”
For Baby James
She ended the rant with, “When it comes to my kids don’t play with me. You need help! He needs help! Never stood up James one time. This is my f**king show. I let him live in my house. For James so James would be comfortable. That’s his home.”
Restraining Order Drama
As RadarOnline.com broke, Glennon was hit with a restraining order for stalking an ex-girlfriend in 2013. The restraining order was granted for three years before it expired in October 2016. He was hit with a second restraining order for domestic violence in April 2015. A temporary restraining order was issued in May 2015. It was dissolved in June 2015.
